I'm excited to share a new feature in our Allproxy app for Android. Now, you can use both Wi-Fi and mobile data simultaneously, thanks to the "Mobile data always active" setting in Android's developer options.
This dual network support, or "Wi-Fi Split," allows you to communicate with your server via Wi-Fi while connecting to your target address using mobile data. It works with both TCP and UDP protocols.
Enabling this feature is simple:
- Enable "Developer options" on your Android device
- Turn on "Mobile data always active"
- Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled
This feature is available on Allproxy versions 154 (3.0.7) and above, with no server-side changes needed.
Benefits include saving mobile data and potentially faster proxy speeds. You can also disable the feature anytime in the app's "Options" menu.
